We love the stanced cars that are coming to us from Japan recently. The car scene is doing good things globally however; the Japanese tend to set the standard in all automotive trends, as I’m sure many would agree. It’s no wonder that many automotive enthusiasts look to the land of the rising sun for inspiration on how to tackled their builds. Queue our feature car, this sun kissed 350Z. Nissan’s chubby coupe is quite versatile and we have seen it take on many of the automotive trends of late. We have seen the ‘Z’ in drift, VIP, stance and tough street formats and it’s a great platform for each of these trends. Our avid readers will recall the recent Evo and S14 features that we have had in recent times, and once again, we have another build from the same circle of friends. This 350Z is owned by Hisanobu and is based in Japan. Upon first glance, the car seems way out there however upon closer inspection, it is subtle in many ways – very ironic, but with enough of the right ingredients in every respective area. The 2 most striking features that first catch your attention is the bright ‘premium passion orange hue’ and those massive Work wheels.

Hisanobu’s chose for his 350 to roll on some bling from the Work catalogue; the rolling stock is not subtle by any means and are quite the statement pieces. They are Work Durandal DD5.2 and measure 19×10 -16 at the front and 19×11 -19 at the rear. Connecting them with the road are Nankang NS-2 in 245/30/19, a common Tyre choice within the stance crowd.

Those dishes are as deep as they get. The Z is possibly one of the cars with the biggest real estate for wheels however, Hasinobu’s choice of wheels are a super tight squeeze are can be seen from that super tight wheel to guard fitment.

The body mods on Hasinobu’s Z are well blended together to create a subtle but very cohesive total package. There are upgrades all around the car and there is something to catch your attention from every angle. Up front, the Nismo version 1 bumper and that bulging bonnet are the most dominating feature. Hasinobu has also extended the bonnet line with the use of some eyelids, which are complemented by aftermarket headlights with LED strip inserts.

You can really distinguish the rise on the bonnet here. Sometimes the best mods are those that look as though it rolled out of the factory that way. Peeking out from the inside are the Bride Exas III and that centre piece to the in car entertainment system, the single Kicker sub.

This car was obviously built to see maximum cruise time, so it was important for Hasinobu to have his tunes sorted.

At the rear, the subtle body mods continue with a Top Secret diffuser and a carbon roof wing; the right amount of carbon goes a long way in our opinion.

Overall Hasinobu has created a great head turner without going all out in every aspect; definitely a less is more approach but with ‘more’ in the right areas.
