The Kanangra-Boyd National Park is a protected national park that is located just pass Jenolan Caves or just 3 hours from Sydney. Kanangra Walls offers marvellous views of the valley and waterfall is just a short walk away, the hike was not difficult, easy for all ages. Although the drive there was a bit bumpy if you have a 4WD should can breeze through all the pot holes along the way but all in all it was a great day spent I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you like the drive out.
The Waterfall walk only takes 30 minutes depending on your pace and along the way you will be exposed to a spine of ancient rocks and views of Kanangra Deep, Kanangra Walls and Thurat Spires.
I hate stairs!
Once you reach the bottom you will see at platform, where you can check out the awesome waterfall.
Knowing us the platform was just not enough so we climbed over it to get a close look at the waterfall.
After the waterfall we started our next hike.
We did the plateau walk.
On the way we came across this cool cave. Apparently this place was used for parties back in the day.
This tree stump was just sitting in the middle of the cave so I went to go take a closer look.
You can see water seeping down from the roof of the cave and into the tree stump.
Could be potential watering hole maybe, who knows.
I just had to do it. haha
The signs were very helpful, always follow the signs!
Along the way you will be slapped with this amazing view.
You will be over there!
I just love the look of this, the overlaying of the landscape looks like it was painted.
Once you hit the plateau its pretty much level from here on out.
Frances capturing the beautiful scenery.
Me being a tourist as usual, but it’s an awesome place to get some insta photos for your instragram.
Well there you have it, another hiking trial conquered, I hope these photos encourages you to get out there and enjoy what Sydney has to offer because its a place no other. Remember to stay safe, let people know where you’re going and always stay hydrated during your hikes.
